BIOGRAFI

The name given my parent is wonderful, blended with a meaningful translation. Wan Nurhidayat bin Wan Muhamad ( Arabic ) brought a meaning, The Light of Clues (Cahaya Petunjuk), in another words - those who show the real pathway.

I was born on 6th March 1991 at Hospital Besar Mentakab, Pahang and spending my childhood in the border of Malaysia-Thailand at Rantau Panjang, Kelantan and soon moved to a village called Kampung Gual Periok, just somewhere far from the same town. I got my primary education at SK Gual Periok, rural school where I got the chances to play traditional game and what a typical kampong boy did. Swimming at the river, catching puyu fish and playing mud in the paddy field, main pondok-pondok, hunting birds in the jungle, and many more.

Luckily I did well in my UPSR, chosen to further my study in Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra Secondary Science School. I have no idea at all that my school is actually a super great residential school, annually emerged as top 10 school in PMR and SPM, (except for certain year like our PMR and SPM year because of “tsunami” fated on our year). I thought Faris Petra wa just the same as daily hostel-equipped school. I dedicated my secondary school life in athletic field, became a middle and long distance runner and managed to represent Kelantan state and Malaysia SBP in MSSM for cross country, champion school relay, and athletic competition. I’m also represent my school in English debate ,after denying the fact that a Kelantanese or a village boy with a pure Kelantan dialect can’t speak English well.

After SPM, based on my average result I only managed to get offer from Teaching College to do a teaching course, matriculation, several private college offer with ‘scholarship’, an offer to be an army cadet officer in Defense Varsity, and last is JPA scholarship for an A-level and degree offer to do law in UK. I chosed Defence Varsity (UPNM) but not UK. Why? Ask my mom.

And now I’m just here, doing my undergraduate courses at Computer Science Department in UPNM, majoring in system security. I’m here joining extreme and endurance sport – marathon, triathlon, orienteering – and also actively participate in debate. Blogging as a medium to express my feeling!

in a nut shell, Hi, I'm Dayat. And I do have a nick name, Satu Hikayat. It just a wordplay, no spesific meaning actually.
" I am an overachiever who probably sets unrealistic heights of bars for myself. That brought me to becoming a perfectionist. I used to be an optimist, but my experiences have converted me into a realist. I am fickle, but I know what I want and what I like. I'd like to think that I am ambitious, because all I want is to make it in the world. I know I've deserved it. I believe that life is all about moderation. And when it's right... it's always right."
